It’s Fall, YAY!
Filed under Animals, Fall, Family, Friends, Life, VacationsHorray, Fall is here! My most favorite time of the year! I can’t wait for the leaves to change to beautiful yellow, orange and red masterpieces! And not to mention Halloween! Well, well, well..I obviously need to work on my Blogging skills. The main reason why I haven’t blogged in so long is because I feel I have so much I’d like to blog about, yet when it comes to me actually blogging, I go blank. Go figure! But really, so much has happened. If I didn’t put off blogging so badly I wouldn’t have such humongous updates to deal with. Well, here we go!
I bought a car a couple of weeks ago off Craigslist! It’s a bright red 1993 Toyota Tercel with 133,000 miles on it (which is nothing for a Toyota car!). I know it’s kinda old, but I think it’s absolutely adorable! We got an amazing deal for it- $1400 for the car plus 4 new snow tires. I’t sos much fun to drive around! Compared to my last car, a 1999 Hyundai Accent, I like my Toyota a lot more. Andy says it fits me perfectly and calls it my little Ladybug
I really want to get a ladybug antenna ball now! I’ve already put some extra money into it (new stereo and speakers, steering wheel cover, exterior paint wax, etc.) and could not be happier!Last week Andy and I brought the kittens to PetSavers in the valley to be fixed. All went well except Gray came home with a terrible bladder infection. I went ahead and took him to the vet the very next day and he was put on some antibiotics. Let me tell you, he is a horror to give medicine to. He hates it so much. The first couple of days he would try to spit it out. By now he has become pretty used to it, but he’s still a pain to administer the drugs to. I also went ahead and got some pain medicine for all 3 kitties. The vet was shocked that the spay / neuter clinic didn’t send me home with any. Overall the bill was around $150. Gray is still having a hard time going to the bathroom but he has shown improvement. Hopefully by next week he will be cleared up fully.
I’ve always told myself that I’d never get a Tumblr. Well, I caved and got one. I think this is going to be another reason for me to put off blogging, but let’s hope I don’t let it become like that! It’s pretty fun to share things on there..a lot better than Twitter if you ask me! But I’m not going to let that keep me from using Twitter either..even though my Twitter account has become my “location feed”. Anyway, if you’d like to become friends with me on Tumblr, my URL is ambrosity.tumblr.com. Go ahead and add me if you will
In less than two weeks (October 4th) I’ll be flying to Indiana for my brother’s wedding. He’s getting married on October 9th so that means I’ll be in Indiana for almost a week. I got my bridesmaid dress a few weeks ago and it’s absolutely stunning! I’m really excited to wear it (and of course for the wedding as well!). After the wedding I’ll be driving back to Texas with my grandparents. I’ve missed my friends and family so much and I can’t wait to see them! I’ll probably end up staying for a couple of weeks, but I’m sure I’ll start missing Andy so bad I’ll want to come back to WA pretty soon after. I guess we will see when I get there! Oh, and lets not forget I will be bringing home my beloved Maximus with me!! HORRAY! I miss him dearly. So there is so much that I have ahead of me..and I’m definitely ready to take on everything!
Well, Well, Well
Filed under Vacations, WorkLook what we have here. I’m actually blogging. It’s been over three months since this has happened. I am so ashamed of myself! Honestly I do have some few reputable excuses for this happening. I have been a bit on the busy (and lazy) side for the longest. My new job that I started on January 4th has taken up most of my time recently. It’s a very nice job, actually. I make $13 an hour tutoring at a local high school. I get about 3 hours in a day so that’s a good $40 a day. My paychecks are usually around $400 every 2 weeks so it’s a pretty good payout! Not to mention the job is the easiest thing I’ve ever been apart of. I like it a lot! It’s a shame that I won’t be here but for a couple more months. If anyone who comes here reads Andy’s blog, which I doubt because he is always complaining about not having any visitors, then you would know that he has a house now! I plan on moving back in with him some time between mid-April to early May. He lives in Spokane, Washington, which is a beautiful city, and not to mention a pretty cheap place to live. It’s going to cost around $1400 to hire a local moving company to take care of everything. If my grandmother becomes a millionaire (I’ll talk about this in my next blog post) then she said she would buy me a newer car once I move to Washington. I’m so excited!
Andy has slowly been getting furniture and appliances for the house. Today he received his new stove. It’s actually pretty nice. I’m so used to using a gas stove though, and his is electric. I’m sure it won’t be hard for me to adjust. It seems like an electric stove is a lot easier to clean than a gas stove anyway. He already has a bed with a box spring and bed frame, a few bookcases, a dresser, and a kitchen table. He is still lacking a couch, though. I’m interested in seeing what kind of couch he’s going to get. I hope it’s not ugly!
I went on a 7 day cruise from January 24th to the 31st with my dad and step-mom. The itinerary included Montego Bay in Jamaica, Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, and Cozumel in Mexico. I have a butt-load of pictures I need to upload to my Flickr account still **Refer to the beginning of my post as to why I haven’t done this yet either! I’ll have them up eventually. So there is what has been happening in my life recently, and what will be happening soon. Let’s hope all goes to plan!
I’m Back, or At Least I Kind of Am.
Filed under Movies, School, VacationsIt’s really good to be back in Texas. I had a lot of fun in Idaho. You can see all my pictures on my Flickr account if you’re interested
But anyway, I am back, sort of. I’ve taken a short break from the computer and got my life sorted out, started back at college and everything is going smooth..for now at least. Starbucks hasn’t given me any hours in the past two weeks, and I have no idea if I’ll be working this coming week either. I have to go up there today and see what’s up with my schedule and if they don’t give me hours, I’m quitting. I know, I know, I wanted the job so bad, but I’m not going to put up with that big of a cut on my hours..it’s kind of ridiculous! But yeah, so I don’t have too much time to update right now because Andy and I have been watching movies for the past few hours. First was The Sixth Day and now we’re taking a small break right in the middle of P.S I Love You. I’ll be sure to have reviews for them later on! (That’s something else I need to get back in the habit of doing as well) But for now I have to get back to the movie
Toodles!
