As of late I have been MIA, at least from the internet that is. This summer has not been completely how I’ve wanted it to be. I haven’t really done much of anything this past month that I had planned on doing. I’ve been lazy and boring and I need to fix that! So, the first thing I’m going to do in this what I call my “Summer attitude turn-around plan thingy” is clean my messy room. Yes, I have definitely been letting myself and my living habits go. Maximus is literally begging me to clean his litter box so that’s on my to-do list for today as well. My car is pretty messy on the inside too, so I definitely have a lot on my plate for today. hence this is why my blog has been baren from my presence and will be for a little bit longer. OH, and I just realized that my comment form is now broken. Great! Just another thing I need to fix today!

Getting a Hold of Myself

I’ve come to realize that I have absolutely no organization in my life right now. In my mind I can pile up tons of things on the to-do list in my brain, but I never can seem to sort them out. For instance, I want to start Project 365 again. This will be my second attempt since my last one ended so abruptly due to camera issues. However, every day comes and goes, and I never find the time to take a snapshot for the day. Also, I need to clean up my mess of a room. That’s really what’s my priority right now. I guess that means I should probably be cleaning instead of blogging, but yet again my website is another thing to add to the list. I have worked really hard the past two weeks fixing it up, but I’m still not finished. I figured I would devote another weekend to it, but I realized this weekend is my Mardi Gras trip. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can better prioritize my time and get things done effectively? As I mentioned in my last post, I highlighted my tips red. However, I changed my mind and decided to just do full-blown red highlights and tips. BAD BAD BAD BAD idea! My mother put them in for me and she did a very good job, but for some reason they weren’t red. They turned out a pale orange / coral color and they looked absolutely TERRIBLE. I cried and cried after Andy blow dried my hair for me because it looked so bad. I went on the net and read that I’d have to strip my hair with some color stripper (which would most likely make my hair all break off due to me basically dying it 2 times in 5 days) and then recolor the hair that I would have left. So that was my plan for last night. I called my friend Tori over and she told me that I actually didn’t have to use hair stripper (OH THANK YOU LORD!) and that she would do it properly for me. So, she dyed my highlights first so they would take the color longer than the rest of my hair, and then she continued doing the other parts. It made me really nervous because I still thought it would turn out really bad, but instead it looked really great. I like it a lot now that I’m back to normal I would still like to dye my tips though like I had in mind at first, but I think I want to stick to either pink or blue. Suggestions? This weekend my family and I are switching over from AT&T to Sprint. This means I’ll be able to get the phone I’ve been wanting! The Samsung Rant. It has all the capabilities of the LG Rumor plus more, like GPS navigation and a better way to surf the net. That means I can take full advantage of the unlimited data package we’ll be getting as well Anyway, I guess I better start trying to get my priorities straight, and sitting on the computer isn’t going to help out much. Well, happy February the 14th guys. If you’ve visited my site over the past week, you probably noticed a lot of errors in my layout. Well, it’s all fixed now My code was an absolute mess, and wasn’t validated all to hell. But that’s enough about that. I also implemented Gravatars in the comments (finally) and fixed my block-quotes as you can see in my previous post. I’m still iffy on the CSS because I’ve basically had the same coding for my past 5-6 layouts. I might be tweaking that just a bit over this weekend. It all just depends. I’ll also probably update some pages that need an update really bad. But anyway, I hope everyone likes the new look!

I’ve received valentines from people on The Q*Bee. We decided to swap addresses and have one secret valentine to send to anonymously. I have four so far along with my secret valentine who I figured out almost immediately :). They are from Miranda of Silly Little Panda, Heather of At0mica, a special valentine from my secret valentine, Diane of CCDiane, Ashley of Rainbow-Stuff, and Christine of Crumped Paper! I’ve been reading a lot everywhere that many people don’t have plans for today / tonight. Luckily, I do. Andy has something special planned for us this evening and I’m excited to find out what it is. I still haven’t bought his present, though. I have to head out today to do that and maybe I’ll find some good sales I really don’t know what to get him, though. He doesn’t want candy or anything stuffed. I’ll probably end up making him something or trying to find something unique. I’ll just have to see when I go shopping. I started Weight Watchers on Tuesday. Not just because I want to lose weight, but I also need to start eating healthier and exercising. I’ve let myself make some unhealthy choices over the past couple of years and it’s starting to catch up with me if you know what I mean. So this is my first week on the diet and it’s been going pretty good. My next weigh-in is on this upcoming Tuesday and I’m excited to see how I’ve done. If I’ve lost 5 pounds, that would be great, but even if I only lost 1, that’s great as well. we’ll just have to see It’s getting kind of late in the day and I need to go get Andy’s gift before all the stores run out. I Ain’t Dead Yet!

First off I want to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday It was wonderful. My mom bought me my own ice cream cake was by the way absolutely fabulous. Yesterday’s weather was pretty yucky, and since my family and I was supposed to go to Galveston, it was postponed until today. So it’s 8am right now and we’re planning on leaving at noon. That’s only 4 hours away! I’m so excited We’re still planning on going to the Rainforest Cafe like I mentioned in a few blogs, and then maybe down to the beach if it isn’t raining. The weather hasn’t been on my side lately It’s rained every day for the past week and I’m sorry to say this but I’m TIRED OF IT! I know you guys that have been going through droughts lately are probably yelling at me, but I’m seriously ready for some more nice hot summer weather! Well it looks like I’ve finally decided to crawl my way back to the internet. Ha. Like I could last the whole summer without it! I’ve really meant to update a few times before now but I haven’t been able to get around it, especially since Time Warner decided to switch to Comcast recently and the net has been acting super wacky, going on off on off constantly! I’ve tried replying to most of the comments I’ve received in my past two blogs, so if I haven’t gotten around to you yet hopefully I will soon I know you’re just dying to know what I got for my birthday. Of course I got a brand new Canon Powershot S2 IS like I’ve been dying to get for the past year or so. My mom bought it off eBay for me for a mere $250 dollars. That’s an awesome deal considering they cost around $300-$400 dollars brand new most of the time. I’ve been playing with it, and there are so many nice features. A 12x optical zoom, what is better than that at such a low cost? Nothing of course It’s so much fun to take super macro shots too. If you’re a camera geek like me, The range goes all the way down to 0mm! How neat is that? If you’re interested I’ve set up a new (temporary until I get my lazy butt to make one on my own site) Livejournal account where I’m going to try and post pictures every once in a while. New Room, Kinda

I spent hours today moving my room around. I really like how I have it now, even though my mom and sister don’t. Screw them :biggrin: I keep my room how I like it Okay, so I didn’t work on getting tutorials up like I said in my last entry, and I’m not planning on doing them tonight. There’s a chance I might tomorrow, or maybe sometime over the weekend. The weekend is going to be busy because my sister is having a birthday party on Saturday. She’s turning fourteen..I remember when I turned 14 I loved it because I was that much more into being a teenager. It seems like yesterday, considering I’m almost 18 (25 more days!) I’m so excited! Today my mom and I went on a little errands trip to THREE banks, Home Depot, and Warehouse Pools. I got to drive, so I was happy to go with her I scared her when I parked at her bank because she thought I was almost going to hit the person that was parked next to the spot I was parking in (Sounds confusing huh?) and she was all paranoid after that for a little. I am a good driver!! I’m always alert and everything at all things going on around me. I can’t wait to get my own car though..I’m supposed to be getting one this summer, maybe sometime in June (I hope) I’d even take July, as long as I get to spend SOME of my summer being able to drive places by myself! Not more much to blog about. Where have my visitors gone! Come back to meeee Oh, and I want to wish Brandy a happy Belated birthday, since I didn’t in my last entry (Sorry bout that Brandy!) so happy 21st birthday, I hope you enjoyed it!

New layout

If you haven’t noticed yet there is a new layout up. I made it over a week ago but I never set my site back up :/ I apologize to people who wanted to trade Q-Bee patches with me and such. I never put up a link on my index page to get to my quilt! I want to think Bren for helping me with aligning my layout. For some reason IE was being retarded and wouldn’t display it right like Firefox does. Also if you’re using IE (dumby go switch to Firefox!) you might have trouble reading some of the text on this layout because IE displays colors differently (and a lot darker to add to that) than Firefox. Shame on you for not using Firefox already! Go switch now so you can read this better Well I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and a happy new year I got a laptop, some perfume, and 75 dollars for my presents I also got my grandma and mom personalized bracelets for Christmas which they totally loved Also I got my new phone last week, the one I’ve been wanting It’s the Sony Ericsson Walkman w300i cellphone. I’m in live with it! I bought a music pack for 60 dollars that came with the PC data cable and a 1GB microSD card which I currently have 250 songs stored on It’s nice having a phone that I can listen to music on since I don’t have an MP3 player anymore. My mom also (FINALLY) switched to Cingular instead of us being stuck on the non-existing AT&T plan. So now she is getting rid of our house phone because we all have cellphones now. Ahhh I’ve had the best past 2 1/2 weeks of my life. Unfortunately I start school again on Wednesday I am happy to get to see all my friends again but my whole schedule has changed so I won’t be in the same classes I had last year, which it totally unfair. A whole semester of being in a certain class starts to grow on you, and for it to switch so abruptly is kind of hard to get used to again! I think the counselors might have put me in the wrong gym class so if it is wrong they’ll switch my schedule around all over again. They need to make up their minds! :roll: I guess change isn’t THAT bad since it gives me the chance to make new friends (yeah right) So, I guess I could sum up how NICE 2006 was to me. I’ve made a few new friends, and lost some. I’ve fallen out of love and back in. I’ve been hurt and also hurt others. I’ve grownÂ both physically and mentally. I’ve learned how to accept my flaws and mistakes and go on living. I’ve learned that I control my own life, not others. I decide what affects me and what doesn’t. I’m excited to start 2007 because I feel like I have a brand new life to work off of, and have carried over the few aspects of 2006 that I’ve come to like. I don’t have much more to talk about, so I’m going to leave on a good note. I hope everyone had a good 2006 year and make 2007 an even better year

Guess it’s time for me to update, huh? This week has gone by pretty fast, at least to me, and the weird thing is, nothing special has really happened at all, except that I almost hit a girl driving to school. Good job Amber! I really still don’t know what I want to do with my website yet. I really want to start posting some photography and stuff, which is why I’ve been setting up my photo gallery. Also, for some reason it’s like I’ve lost my creativity again (which I know I mention this A LOT) but I mean, I don’t know why but when I try to create a new layout, whether it be for my blog, gallery, or anything relating to graphic designing, it’s impossible for me to come up with good ideas, and when I finally begin working on one, by the time I finish I hate it. Anyone have any suggestions how I can cure myself from this Anti-Creativeness :? However I am going to try and finish setting up my gallery as soon as I finish this entry. Also I’m thinking of bringing my tutorials back since I used to get a lot of traffic to my last website for them. What do you think? Hmm. I always feel like I have so much to talk about when I need to blog, yet when it comes to actually blogging I always forget what I was going to blog about in the first place. Confusing, no? Anyway, I guess I’ll get onto other things that don’t have to do with my site for once :lol: I had a very interesting conversation a couple days ago. A few friends of mine and I talked about religion and the different aspects of it, and how each religion has their own boundaries within. Now I’m not a big fan of religious debates usually, since there’s no way to prove the other person wrong, but this one was pretty crazy. I think it’s kind of nice to learn what religion someone considers themselves to be and how much of it they actually believe in, which in return also helps me with respecting other peoples point of view while showing that I’d like mine respected too. I can’t wait until October. For one thing it’s Finally going to start getting a lot cooler outside! Also there’s Halloween to plan out and I’ll be getting my driver’s license on October 25th to the date I’m so excited! and not to mention all the fairs and festivals there are here. They’re so much fun to go to, especially when you go with a whole bunch of close friends, doing the little carnival games, winning cute little Halloween /fall prizes. And then there’s Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to! Every time I think about it I get more and more excited. One thing that I am NOT looking forward to, though. The SAT. Actually it’s the PSAT but it’s still basically the same test, only it won’t really count as much as it will count next year, at least as to what colleges I’ll be accepted at. I have to register some time next week for $20 dollars, and go to a $30 dollar preparatory class from 5 to 8:30 at night. Then when the test finally comes around, I’ll have to be up at 8:15am to take the test for 4 or so hours. I’m SO excited (please not that I’m being totally sarcastic) but it’s important to my education, so I guess it’s worth it. Well right now I’m going to start working on my gallery. I’ll be sure to update as soon as I get it finished!
