It’s Fall, YAY!

Horray, Fall is here! My most favorite time of the year! I can’t wait for the leaves to change to beautiful yellow, orange and red masterpieces! And not to mention Halloween! Well, well, well..I obviously need to work on my Blogging skills. The main reason why I haven’t blogged in so long is because I feel I have so much I’d like to blog about, yet when it comes to me actually blogging, I go blank. Go figure! But really, so much has happened. If I didn’t put off blogging so badly I wouldn’t have such humongous updates to deal with. Well, here we go!

I bought a car a couple of weeks ago off Craigslist! It’s a bright red 1993 Toyota Tercel with 133,000 miles on it (which is nothing for a Toyota car!). I know it’s kinda old, but I think it’s absolutely adorable! We got an amazing deal for it- $1400 for the car plus 4 new snow tires. I’t sos much fun to drive around! Compared to my last car, a 1999 Hyundai Accent, I like my Toyota a lot more. Andy says it fits me perfectly and calls it my little Ladybug I really want to get a ladybug antenna ball now! I’ve already put some extra money into it (new stereo and speakers, steering wheel cover, exterior paint wax, etc.) and could not be happier!

Last week Andy and I brought the kittens to PetSavers in the valley to be fixed. All went well except Gray came home with a terrible bladder infection. I went ahead and took him to the vet the very next day and he was put on some antibiotics. Let me tell you, he is a horror to give medicine to. He hates it so much. The first couple of days he would try to spit it out. By now he has become pretty used to it, but he’s still a pain to administer the drugs to. I also went ahead and got some pain medicine for all 3 kitties. The vet was shocked that the spay / neuter clinic didn’t send me home with any. Overall the bill was around $150. Gray is still having a hard time going to the bathroom but he has shown improvement. Hopefully by next week he will be cleared up fully.

I’ve always told myself that I’d never get a Tumblr. Well, I caved and got one. I think this is going to be another reason for me to put off blogging, but let’s hope I don’t let it become like that! It’s pretty fun to share things on there..a lot better than Twitter if you ask me! But I’m not going to let that keep me from using Twitter either..even though my Twitter account has become my “location feed”. In less than two weeks (October 4th) I’ll be flying to Indiana for my brother’s wedding. He’s getting married on October 9th so that means I’ll be in Indiana for almost a week. I got my bridesmaid dress a few weeks ago and it’s absolutely stunning! I’m really excited to wear it (and of course for the wedding as well!). After the wedding I’ll be driving back to Texas with my grandparents. I’ve missed my friends and family so much and I can’t wait to see them! I’ll probably end up staying for a couple of weeks, but I’m sure I’ll start missing Andy so bad I’ll want to come back to WA pretty soon after. I guess we will see when I get there! Oh, and lets not forget I will be bringing home my beloved Maximus with me!! HORRAY! I miss him dearly. So there is so much that I have ahead of me..and I’m definitely ready to take on everything!

Like Sucks, Especially On Bad Hair Days

My poor straightener broke today It was a nice one too. It’s actually not that popular of a brand in the US, because it’s from Europe. It’s a regular Corioliss straightener, so now since it’s broken I’m going to try and find a better one. I’m thinking since it’s over 4 years old that by now they’re HAD to come out with better ones. I have my fingers crossed hoping it won’t be too expensive. So, since my straightener is dead now, I have to venture out to the mall to try and find a better one. Honestly today does not feel like a shopping day, but I don’t want to go another day with bad hair. It makes me feel crappy! So I’m bringing my friend Rachel along with me since Andy is working on the roof today.

The WordPress integration is going great. I’m 3/4ths of the way done! Not only that but I’m trying to give my pages a face-lift while I’m transferring them to WordPress. I’ve completely redone the goodies page along with any pages linked from that to be more user-friendly!
There’s going to be a new hostee moving in. Her name is Amanda from Not Quite Petite. She posted on the The Q*Bee about WordPress problems and I offered to host her since it would be a lot easier to work with a hosted site than 110mb. Sure enough she got back with me and now she’s going to be one of my hostees, so welcome to Hello-Love Amanda! I’m glad to be hosting you

Getting a Hold of Myself

I’ve come to realize that I have absolutely no organization in my life right now. In my mind I can pile up tons of things on the to-do list in my brain, but I never can seem to sort them out. For instance, I want to start Project 365 again. This will be my second attempt since my last one ended so abruptly due to camera issues. However, every day comes and goes, and I never find the time to take a snapshot for the day. Also, I need to clean up my mess of a room. That’s really what’s my priority right now. I guess that means I should probably be cleaning instead of blogging, but yet again my website is another thing to add to the list. I have worked really hard the past two weeks fixing it up, but I’m still not finished. I figured I would devote another weekend to it, but I realized this weekend is my Mardi Gras trip. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can better prioritize my time and get things done effectively? As I mentioned in my last post, I highlighted my tips red. However, I changed my mind and decided to just do full-blown red highlights and tips. BAD BAD BAD BAD idea! My mother put them in for me and she did a very good job, but for some reason they weren’t red. They turned out a pale orange / coral color and they looked absolutely TERRIBLE. I cried and cried after Andy blow dried my hair for me because it looked so bad. I went on the net and read that I’d have to strip my hair with some color stripper (which would most likely make my hair all break off due to me basically dying it 2 times in 5 days) and then recolor the hair that I would have left. So that was my plan for last night. I called my friend Tori over and she told me that I actually didn’t have to use hair stripper (OH THANK YOU LORD!) and that she would do it properly for me. So, she dyed my highlights first so they would take the color longer than the rest of my hair, and then she continued doing the other parts. It made me really nervous because I still thought it would turn out really bad, but instead it looked really great. I like it a lot now that I’m back to normal I would still like to dye my tips though like I had in mind at first, but I think I want to stick to either pink or blue. Suggestions? This weekend my family and I are switching over from AT&T to Sprint. This means I’ll be able to get the phone I’ve been wanting! The Samsung Rant. It has all the capabilities of the LG Rumor plus more, like GPS navigation and a better way to surf the net. That means I can take full advantage of the unlimited data package we’ll be getting as well Anyway, I guess I better start trying to get my priorities straight, and sitting on the computer isn’t going to help out much. Any comments will help Toodles!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Well, happy February the 14th guys. If you’ve visited my site over the past week, you probably noticed a lot of errors in my layout. Well, it’s all fixed now My code was an absolute mess, and wasn’t validated all to hell. But that’s enough about that. I also implemented Gravatars in the comments (finally) and fixed my block-quotes as you can see in my previous post. I’m still iffy on the CSS because I’ve basically had the same coding for my past 5-6 layouts. I might be tweaking that just a bit over this weekend. It all just depends. I’ll also probably update some pages that need an update really bad. But anyway, I hope everyone likes the new look!

I’ve received valentines from people on The Q*Bee. We decided to swap addresses and have one secret valentine to send to anonymously. I have four so far along with my secret valentine who I figured out almost immediately :). They are from Miranda of Silly Little Panda, Heather of At0mica, a special valentine from my secret valentine, Diane of CCDiane, Ashley of Rainbow-Stuff, and Christine of Crumped Paper! I’ve been reading a lot everywhere that many people don’t have plans for today / tonight. Luckily, I do. Andy has something special planned for us this evening and I’m excited to find out what it is. I still haven’t bought his present, though. I have to head out today to do that and maybe I’ll find some good sales I really don’t know what to get him, though. He doesn’t want candy or anything stuffed. I’ll probably end up making him something or trying to find something unique. I’ll just have to see when I go shopping. I started Weight Watchers on Tuesday. Not just because I want to lose weight, but I also need to start eating healthier and exercising. I’ve let myself make some unhealthy choices over the past couple of years and it’s starting to catch up with me if you know what I mean. So this is my first week on the diet and it’s been going pretty good. My next weigh-in is on this upcoming Tuesday and I’m excited to see how I’ve done. If I’ve lost 5 pounds, that would be great, but even if I only lost 1, that’s great as well. we’ll just have to see It’s getting kind of late in the day and I need to go get Andy’s gift before all the stores run out. Rockn’Bowl!

First of all, Happy first of November! I usually never get to say anything like that ’cause I hardly ever blog on the first of the month I made it this time though! I did a huge update from my iPod yesterday morning while on break in class, but when I tried to submit it it got erased! I’m at the bowling alley with Andy and a couple of friends and figured I would try to update a little whil I’m waiting to bowl. So let me try and sum up everything I said in a few sentences ’cause my turn is coming up soon and I want to finish this before having to bowl again. Wednesday’s interview went great. Usually managers call for a second interview, but Leah (the manager interviewing me) liked me so much that she said it was unneeded so I officially got the job. I went in earlier today to fill out all the necessary paperwork and get my apron and hat. We also did tasting of some coffee. My goal is to try all the coffees by the end of February Think I can do it? Christmas is coming up next month and I already know what my dad and stepmom are getting me. In simpler terms, they purchased Andy and me a special date night, which includes a gift certificate to a nice restaurant downtown, hotel reservations, and tickets to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra!! I am so excited about it. It’s all for December 28th. The hotel will transport us both to dinner and the concert that night and also pick us up.i can’t wait Well I gotta bowl now, so toodles!

New Theme, Yay!

Even though I’m a huge fan of Halloween, I just couldn’t stand my site looking so gloomy and dark any longer. So here is a new theme it’s based off one of my previous themes. Click Here to view it There’s many differences but I kept some elements I favored. Which one do you think is better?

Last weekend Andy and I went to a Halloween party, so we got to dress up in our costumes! It was a lot of fun especially since I got to do both of our makeup myself. Before the party we had to go shopping around to find me a cat tail and andy some dog ears and a dog collar. Party City had some for $10 so I went ahead and got them for him. He looked so good in his costume, especially the way I did his makeup I bought some clip-on whiskers which looked a lot better than just drawing whiskers on my face with makeup. They only cost $2.00 too and I can reuse them over and over. What do you think about our costumes? We have to wear them again on Halloween night so hopefully I can recreate how I did my magic that night. Now, I know it might be a bit childish and dumb but both me and him are actually thinking about going Trick-or-Treating this year. Firstly, because we want some free candy. The people give out whole candy bars in this ritzy rich neighborhood a few miles away which is totally awesome Secondly, we love doing silly stuff together, especially when it involves us dressing up and acting like little kids! Third, there’s nothing else we could do that night. No one that I know is having a party so we have to figure out something to do. So, that seems like a good plan for the both of us

I’ve been doing really well in my college classes lately. I’ve started to really pay attention in class so I can actually learn things for once instead of blowing everything off until exam days I’ve also been working on my procrastination problem by doing all my assignments the day I get them, or at least within a few days time. So far my plan has been working successfully.

This weekend is the Wings Over Houston Airshow. I really want to go but the tickets are $15 if I buy them by midnight tonight or $20 at the door. The weather has been absolutely beautiful since Fall started, so that just might be enough to persuade me into going with Andy Oh, and I’m also still waiting for Bath & Body Works to call me. I hope they do by this evening! I wish I could update more right now, but if I want to goto the airshow I need to get my butt working on my homework. Toodles!

It’s Sunday

I managed to get myself up and out of bed fairly early today, for once! I also got a new layout up too! I honestly don’t know what I think about it..but it isn’t too bad. I still like my last layout better.

Even though it’s Sunday and tomorrow is school, I don’t feel too bad about it. I have all day today to do stuff, even though what I should be doing is my final exam reviews. Speaking of which, finals are this week! Here’s my schedule (which totally rocks, by the way) :

Monday: 7:20AM – 12:30PM (Regular day)
Tuesday: 7:20AM – 9:30AM
Wednesday: 7:20AM – 11:30PM
Thursday: 7:20AM – 11:30PM
Friday: No school for me! I still have to wake up at 6:30AM to take my sister to school, though.
Next Monday: No school!

So, technically I get a four day weekend coming up. Isn’t that awesome? I’d like to think so Also, I start my college class on Monday & Wednesday. English comp. 1302! If anyone has taken that course before, can you tell me if it was fairly easy or hard for you? I’m just curious. English 1301 was a snap for me. 3 3-page and 1 5-page essay is basically all we did the whole semester but I also had a three hour class on Thursdays. This will be a 1 hour class on Monday / Wednesday. I hope nothing changes (except for the teacher, of course.) I know this is pretty late, but I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. I sure did. My brother bought me Animal Crossing: Wild World :love: He asked me what I wanted and I told him that, but I had no idea he was actually going to get it for me. I’ve been addicted to it ever since Christmas. You can see my neighbors here. Cesar is currently sick and Sally has moved away, though. That’s the only differences though! I’m pretty far in the game for having only played a couple of weeks or so.. I already have two fruits growing in my town not including my coconut tree. Today is supposed to be a fishing tournament so I’m going to go play for a while. There’s a chance I might update later tonight. I’m going out with my friend Tori to Olive Garden and Karaoke tonight Toodles!

I wait every year for my favorite month to roll around..and it’s finally here! Yes, I love October for many reasons. First of all there’s Halloween..secondly, the weather starts to get awesome in October since it’s Fall now and all (Even though it’s still like 100 degrees outside..at least the humidity is low!) Also, there are SO MANY festivals going on right now.. Fall festivals, Harvest festivals, Halloween festivals..it’s basically one big never-ending festival all month long. I never get tired of it. Especially since a lot of the festivals have cheap jewelry places which I go crazy in. Well, I do have some good news. Yesterday my homeroom teacher gave me a mysterious white packet..so being the curious person I am I opened it and what was in there? A letter congratulating me for my outstanding performance in academics I’ve managed to keep a 4.0 + GPA for the past 3 years (I was really bad in 9th grade with a 3.6 GPA so that’s why I didn’t get this last year), which qualified me to letter in academics and receive a free letterman jacket at my school’s expense! I’m so excited..tomorrow they’re going to measure me for it which makes it even more cool because it’s going to be custom fitted just for me and it only takes four to six weeks to arrive, which I don’t think is too bad considering I’m sure the company gets tons and tons of orders which they have to custom make. Also, my mom re-ordered a class ring for me! She surprised me a few days ago when I was looking through a JC Penney catalog at class rings since mine was stolen last year and I’ve really been wanting a new one. I’m so happy and grateful..My ring cost over $100 and it was stolen..Honestly who steals a class ring? It had my name on it, my graduating year, and my full name engraved on the inside. Whoever stole it probably pawned it or sold it to someone for drug money.. Who knows, haha. Halloween is approaching soon, and I don’t have a costume picked out as of yet. I’m having a party next Friday that I figured I would invite a few close friends to..Well, somehow the word got out about it and now half of my school knows about it basically. I have no idea who is coming and how many people are actually going to show. It kind of scares me, haha. I guess I’ll find out Friday. I’m handing out invitations I printed up today with all the information and stuff..I’m really hoping only the people I invited show up but I guess I can’t really control that. I’m not going to turn someone away when they’ve driven all the way to my house Where has all my site traffic gone? It’s significantly dropped down the past two months. I guess I should start promoting my site or something But anyway, I think that’s enough updating for now

I Got a Car!!

Yes! Finally! After waiting forever for my mom to finally trust me on the road, I got a car! Here’s a few pictures of it the dealership took:

I love it so much. It’s a 1999 Hyundai Accent GL with only 78,000 miles on it. I drove it all day basically and got to have fun with it. I bought some air fresheners and I’m looking for a steering wheel cover still. Hopefully I find one tomorrow! Speaking of tomorrow, I’m supposed to go to the mall with my friend Tori. But like always the weather controls what and when we’re going to do everything, so I’m praying that it doesn’t rain too hard tomorrow ( It’s an 80% chance O.o ) We’re going to try and go around 1pm though. I don’t know why I’m up so late right now either. I guess because I’m anxious about the rain coming! Meh..Well I’m going to try and sleep anyways.

Piratey Update!

Although it was very lengthy and somewhat boring on some parts, ‘POTC 3′ was very good. There was definitely lots of action and war-ish scenes, with romance thrown in to bring it all together. Oh, unfortunately I didn’t stay for the credits, but I definitely should have, because after them there is an extra scene. I found this out AFTER I went though, from a friend. They explained to me and it’s not too much but it’s a nice way to close off the end of the movie, so if you go see it, make sure you stay until after the credits! Overall, I recommend seeing it, even if you haven’t seen the second one We redid the pool this morning, and now it’s filling up. There’s about a foot of water in it. 4 1/2 more feet to go! I’m excited. I already threw a floaty in the water and floated around on it a bit, but it got boring with no one else outside. Tomorrow we’re having a big Memorial Day get together with some friends, it should be pretty fun. My mom and a few people are going to grill burgers and hot dogs, yum yum :love: Now since we have the pool up it will be a barbecue /pool party. Woo! Not much to update about..I fixed a few images around that site that were broken, but that’s basically it. I’m trying to get my cam portal back up, but now I’m not quite sure if I want to have one now since most people have gotten out of the whole “cam portal scene” What do you think? Should I put a portal back up or just forget about it? Would people really join it again or not? I just can’t make up my mind Well, my birthday is coming up in a month from yesterday. It’s so close! I’m really hoping I get a car pretty soon so I can have a more free summer instead of being stuck up in the house all day. I haven’t done zip, zilch, nada, yet, and I’ve been out of school for a week now. I told my mom I want to go to the Rainforest Cafe again already and she said she’s alright with that. Yay I love that place! I don’t care if you’re 2 years old or 80 years old, that place is so awesome for anyone to enjoy. I’m sitting here in my wet bathing suit, so I’m gonna go hop in the shower and maybe check what’s on TV. I’m gonna work on tutorials tonight, I promise!
